Šaljić: LGBTIQ+ parade not a security risk for the "faithful" from the Three, but banned protests by teachers and professors are

(Patria) - The LGBTIQ+ Organizing Committee announced a pride parade in Sarajevo for June 22. This is the fifth parade in a row that the faithful and (battery-powered believers) from the Sarajevo Canton Government unconditionally approve and financially and organizationally support in every way for the past six years, with reports and assessments that there is no security risk, said Party for BiH MP Jasmin Šaljić.

"We have witnessed what it looked like during previous parades, from blocking roads, promenades, and entire neighborhoods to nudity, immoral behavior, and exposing genitals to horrified passers-by. The organizers and sponsors of the parade explained to the public and citizens that it was just an artistic 'performance'," Šaljić points out and notes:

"The security risk for the faithful and believers from the Three are teachers and professors, i.e., the people to whom we have entrusted the upbringing and education of our children".

The Party for BiH MP adds: "Imagine, educators are a danger to them for disrupting the security situation as well as public order and peace, so they are prohibited from exercising their constitutionally guaranteed right to a protest march and assembly".

"As a deputy in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, I have not found any budget item for this purpose, nor have funds been allocated and planned for holding the announced parade. Money for this purpose can only be allocated from the budget managed by the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton," Šaljić concluded.
