Salihović: They want to suspend me because of Milorad Dodik

Goran Salihović, Chief Prosecutor, has also commented on the initiation of disciplinary proceedings by the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office of the HJPC, reports the Patria News Agency. 

- I reject all these allegations and nothing from this report is true, it is all fabricated. The reason for the report is that I opened an investigation against Milorad Dodik and that for the first time in history he received a summons to report to the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

- He clearly stated yesterday that he stands behind the referendum. It couldn't have been done before, the case was opened 20 days ago and we are working on it, Salihović explains.

Chief Prosecutor Salihović denies that, as Chief Prosecutor, he obstructed certain investigations against high-ranking officials, especially those from RS.

 "I have never obstructed anything. In the Bobar Bank case, an indictment will be filed on Wednesday, we were waiting for certain data from Croatia through the institute of international legal assistance. As for Pavlović Bank, we are also waiting for that because we have five international assistances, from the USA to Serbia. We are waiting for the answers to come so that we can continue working.

 Nothing has ever been closed. As for other cases, such as "Špirić" (Špirić's purchase of an apartment in Vienna) and "Gold" (accusations that Dodik was bribed with a kilogram of gold in Russia), these are completely untrue things," says Salihović.

The Chief Prosecutor notes that the only reason for the request for his suspension is the summons for Milorad Dodik's hearing.

Also, the Chief Prosecutor emphasizes that he is confident in the correctness of his decisions and that he does not fear any proceedings before the DPO, because it will be determined that the proceedings were conducted in accordance with the law.

- We emphasize that the BiH Prosecutor's Office is under great political pressure, which represents an abuse by certain individuals within institutions for political purposes, and that the Chief Prosecutor will reveal more details about this in the coming period, after which it will be clear to the citizens what kind of political and institutional abuses are involved in the attempted attack on the Chief Prosecutor.

Further evidence that these are fabrications and abuses is the fact that secrecy of the proceedings is requested.
