Salihović suspended, appeal does not postpone decision execution

The first-instance disciplinary commission of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) has, upon the request of the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office (DPO) of the HJPC BiH, made a decision to temporarily suspend the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Goran Salihović, from the duty of chief prosecutor and prosecutor in the same prosecutor's office until the disciplinary proceedings are concluded, starting from 29.9.2016.

An appeal does not postpone the execution of the temporary suspension decision.

With this decision, the first-instance disciplinary commission of the HJPC BiH does not prejudge or influence the outcome of the disciplinary proceedings in any way, nor the rights of the defense of the accused.
