Salihović: Coalition "Homeland" does not aim to enter government at any cost

A meeting of political parties gathered around the Coalition Homeland will be held today in Sarajevo, where criteria, demands and principles towards other parties, primarily the winning ones, will be defined, which will be a condition for the Coalition Homeland to enter the government, writes the Patria news agency.

Almir Salihović, coordinator of the Coalition Prvi mart, told Patria that now responsibility must be shown.

Our goal is to remain united. Today we will come out with a list of our demands towards other parties if they show interest in the "Homeland" entering the government. Our goal was not to solve the personnel problems of some political parties, to shelter some people who have lost the support of the people, so our goal is not to enter the government at any cost, but we will not shy away from trying to solve all the accumulated problems concerning returnees, education, representation in the institutions of the RS, the Law on Residence, etc. through the institutions of the RS – says Salihović.

He further adds that, given the overall problems that arose during the distribution of voting materials, they are satisfied with the result, because they are aware that without the "Homeland" no one would have passed the electoral threshold, which is the case with the SDP, which is not part of the Coalition "Homeland".

- Consequently, returnees would have no one who could enter the government and work for their interests. Five seats in the Assembly is a good thing, although we expected at least six seats. Many people contacted us who did not receive ballots. Despite all these problems, I think this is a good result. Now we need to show responsibility – added Salihović.
