Salihović and lawyer left court, demanded hearing be public

The examination of four prosecutors from the BiH Prosecutor's Office before the first-instance Disciplinary Commission of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH is taking place without the presence of the suspended Chief Prosecutor of BiH Goran Salihović and his lawyer Rifat Konjić.

Salihović, who is charged with abuse of position and authority, and his defense attorney refused to attend the hearing because the hearing was closed to the public. Today, Dubravko Čampara, Božo Mihajlović, Mirza Hukeljić, and Eldina Biuk are testifying.

Salihović told reporters that he does not want to attend a secret procedure and that he demands that the hearing in his case be open to the public. The Chief Prosecutor rejected all allegations from the indictment. He claims that the process is politically motivated. He said that "some people wanted certain individuals to be arrested and prosecuted, and for certain parties to win elections based on that.".

Salihović's lawyer Konjić also confirmed that they want the public to participate in the entire procedure, considering it their only chance. He said that from today's testimony of the four prosecutors, whose testimonies he assessed as correct, it is completely clear where everything started "and why we are here at all", reports Patria.
