(Patria) - Deputy Chair of the Novo Sarajevo Municipal Council (OV) Nedim Salihagić (NES) criticised the "Alan Ford-like" approach dominating the political scene of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stating that it cannot bring anything good.
We are publishing Salihagić's Facebook post in its entirety below.
Many comic book lovers will agree that the peak of originality, sarcasm, and unforgettable witticisms belongs to the incomparable "Alan Ford".
The entire TNT Group, headquartered at the "Flower Shop", is so well-conceived, and the characters and physical appearances of the main protagonists are so well-depicted that one cannot tell which of them wins greater sympathy.
Despite the fact that almost none of them are role models of desirable behaviour, the comic is one whose issues are read breathlessly and with non-stop laughter. True refined irony.
If the "Alan Ford-like" approach has ever come to life in any real world, then it is certainly the political scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A country where the greatest media space is given to ministers from the security sector, from internal affairs to defence in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on topics of how they want to secede, and they will not allow it, with their infantile statements.
Alright, I would somehow accept that too; people love responses in the vein of "well, you told him", even if there is no benefit from it, but the latent danger and the fact that with such an approach there is less and less of Bosnia and Herzegovina is ignored, while we have more and more inflammatory rhetoric that leads nowhere and feeds base passions in people.
Topics like how many long-barrelled weapons the Ministry of Internal Affairs procured, what was retorted between the RS and the FBIH, only stupefy the people and divert attention from the systematic decadence of everything worthwhile in this society.
In normal countries, the greatest media space is given to holders of important executive functions who improve the state of society, e.g., ministers of sports and economy and other responsible positions from which the state of society can be improved and hope for a prosperous life in Bosnia and Herzegovina can be restored.
Here, everything is reversed and shrouded to the extent that citizens leave this country more due to the political situation and less due to the standard of living, which is also a great irony.
I believe that the goal of this meeting for Minister Magoda was something entirely different, but how it was reported in the media is such irony that even the creators of "Alan Ford" would envy.
The fact that in 2023, 2.6 million marks were allocated for four sports collectives is anything but something to boast about.
The truth is that Minister Magoda's predecessors were no better, even much worse, but 2.6 million marks for four collectives is something that the Sarajevo Canton cannot and must not boast about, while also "criticising" the clubs for unachieved results. For comparison, the RS allocates about 5 million KM annually from its budget for FK Borac.
And so, while we have ministers of defence and internal affairs handing out lessons from the "you'll get your knuckles rapped" column, and ministries that should be dealing with the development of sports, culture, and the economy "criticise" their most valuable exhibits, understand why we are in the situation we are in, and why secessionist forces are increasingly invisibly achieving their goals, with a precise and clear plan.
