RENEXPO 2015 Fair on November 4th and 5th in Sarajevo

The second international fair and conference on renewable energy and energy efficiency RENEXPO 2015 will be held on November 4th and 5th, 2015, at the Hollywood Hotel in Sarajevo, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The aim of the fair is to bring together foreign and domestic investors, representatives of international institutions, engineers and experts, representatives of various levels of government, and the interested public to establish contacts and exchange experiences, as well as to improve business and direct investments towards energy efficiency projects and the use of renewable energy sources.

The conferences "Energy Efficiency in BiH" within the Renexpo BiH fair are organized by institutions from various levels of government in BiH: the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning, the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology of RS, the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of FBiH, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of RS, the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund of RS, Municipalities of Bihać, Bijeljina, Gradiška, Laktaši, Livno, Prijedor, Travnik, Zenica, and Zvornik, as well as GIZ, the "Energy Efficiency Consultancy" project in BiH.

One of the goals of this professional and business event is to showcase achievements and planned future steps for the implementation of energy efficiency within the framework of data formation, laws and regulations, IT instruments, training and lifelong learning, and the actual implementation of projects in the past 5 years, as well as to achieve synergy between the economy, politics, and science. Within the fair, discussions will also be held on the topic of energy efficiency, energy management in municipalities, as well as the exhibition "Typology of Residential Buildings in BiH." The exhibition will serve to present preliminary results of research on the typology of residential buildings, which aims to establish reference objects for specific building types from the entire residential building stock of BiH for improving energy efficiency.

With the idea of connecting experts whose knowledge is a prerequisite for the development of society as a whole, on the second day of the fair, November 5th, hosted by the Environmental Protection Fund of FBiH, the Environmental Protection Fund of RS, the Association of Thermal Engineers, and GIZ, the "Experts' Day" will be held, during which engineers, architects, private companies, and government institutions will gather in one place to discuss business and economic developments in the field of energy efficiency.

Also, four training sessions will be held for mechanical engineers and architects, focusing on new techniques, approaches, and technologies on the market in the field of construction materials and equipment.

Visitors and participants will have the opportunity to visit the energy efficiency stand at the fair: the Energy Efficiency House. Representatives of seven municipalities will present their concrete experiences in energy management and sustainable energy action plans, as well as implemented projects with a focus on real-world issues.
