Safet Softić of SDA Called for Betrayal of the State and Introduction of Apartheid

(Patria) - Vice President of SDA Safet Softić called today for betrayal of the state and introduction of apartheid through allegedly finding compromise with the anti-civilizational demands of HDZ BiH and Dragan Čović.

That this is a betrayal is proven by all the efforts of pro-Bosniak parties, primarily SDP and DF, which warned and ultimately led to the suspension of negotiations on amendments to the Election Law until Milorad Dodik and his secessionist aspirations are stopped and the functioning of BiH institutions is unblocked.

Today, Saša Magazinović, SDP representative in the BiH Parliament, reiterated this.

"They ask about a new round of negotiations on the Election Law. Nothing has changed - these negotiations are now completely redundant. Make the functioning of institutions fully operational, withdraw the decisions of the NSRS, annul the laws, and only then can we talk about the Election Law," said Magazinović.

But Softić thinks differently.

"Relations between Croats and Bosniaks need to be placed on a different level. I believe that this is the path that could stabilize and relax all these relations - Softić believes.

Softić told Avaz that meeting the demands of HDZ represents a compromise.

- Because everything that would eventually be accepted as some possible type of compromise would, in a way, be interpreted as a certain betrayal in this country. That is how things are set up - says Softić.

Asked whether he believes that the elections will be held this year at all given the deadlines, he emphasizes that there is still time.

- The deadline is until the elections are called according to the Election Law. There is enough time and space to agree and negotiate. The date of certification of the elections is some final time when amendments should be adopted in Parliament. The question, therefore, is how much will, courage, and readiness we have to reach certain types of compromise - Softić believes.
