Current captain of NK Travnik: I will wear the armband with even more honor, because I know you are watching from above

Yesterday, the heart of Elvedin Varupa, a legendary footballer of NK Travnik and one of the players with the most appearances in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stopped beating. Varupa passed away at the age of forty, after his heart suddenly stopped beating.

The funeral of Elvedin Varupa will be held today at 1:30 PM after the noon prayer at the Grbavica cemetery near Vitez. NK Travnik has arranged transportation (12:30 PM in front of the Fire Station) to the place where the funeral prayer will be held for all those who wish to say their last goodbye to Elvedin Varupa.  

Many footballers and fans had a very emotional farewell to Varupa, and an announcement by Feđa Dudić, the current captain of NK Travnik, is spreading on social networks.

- May your soul rest in peace, Elvedin Varupa, my one and only captain! It was a great honor for me to be your teammate and to have met you in life. As a captain and teammate, I never experienced any curse or insult from you, and in return, I looked at you as an older brother with great respect! I had the honor to wear the captain's armband of NK Travnik after you, and I tried as much as I could to replace you worthily, and now I will do it with even greater obligation, honorably and honestly while I am here, because I know that you will be watching us from above - Dudić wrote.
