The United States has stopped the delivery of equipment for the F-35 fighter jet to Turkey, Patria reports.
This is the first step in the US plan to halt the delivery of the secret aircraft to this NATO ally, because Turkey planned to purchase a missile defense system from Russia, the Reuters news agency reported.
US officials have already informed Turkey that it will not receive the F-35 equipment necessary for this aircraft.
The Pentagon confirmed the Reuters report that the equipment delivery has been halted, Patria reports.
