US Welcomes Venice Commission's Expertise, Which Proposed Abolishing the House of Peoples

(Patria) - The United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina commented after the talks between BiH leaders and international representatives regarding amendments to the Election Law in Neum.

Any solution must fully implement the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, which is an obligation under the Dayton Agreement. All parties are responsible for full implementation, and any solution must be in line with EU standards. They emphasized that the expertise of the Venice Commission in this process is invaluable.

Representatives of the Venice Commission are participating in these discussions on amendments to the Election Law, which could be crucial given the Venice Commission's positions from 16 years ago.
