Šaban Šaulić, like Dino Merlin and other artists performing Alma Prica, Selma Ergeč, are all great artists and we wanted to gather great and important artists in one place, said Haris Pašović, director of the project “A Century of Peace After a Century of Wars,” explaining the reasons for inviting a folk singer to the project commemorating the centenary of the Sarajevo assassination and the beginning of World War I, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

- When it comes to music stars, they are people who have a wonderful relationship with the audience, the audience loves them, and I think they have something to say in our musical-stage work, as do the choir of the Opera of the National Theatre Sarajevo, and the Cossack Choir. These are fantastic artists, and we hope to share it with our audience in a very successful way – Pašović told Patria.

He also stated that they gladly accepted his invitation and that the only reason they are all here is that they like this project.

- We all want to send a message of peace together, to all wish that the century ahead of us will be a century of civilization in which we will live constructively and creatively, not wage war – said Pašović.

Fifteen minutes before midnight on June 28, a unique musical-stage spectacle will begin at the Latin Bridge, and preparations for this spectacle are going according to plan, the scenography is being set up, and the Latin Bridge is closed to pedestrians. More than 300 participants from 12 countries – Serbia, Croatia, France, Belgium, Italy, Turkey, Russia, Romania, Moldova, Slovenia, Great Britain, and BiH – will participate in this event. Today, a replica of the car in which the Austrian heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie were located was placed at this site in front of the Museum of Sarajevo.
