With tonight's sunset, the month of Ramadan begins

(Patria) - According to the calendar of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in BiH, the month of Ramadan begins with tonight's sunset. The first tarawih prayer will be performed tonight, while tomorrow is the first day of fasting. Eid prayer is on Wednesday, April 10.

The Riyasat of the Islamic Community in BiH will organize numerous religious activities during Ramadan, as well as unique programs to mark significant dates - Laylat al-Badr, Fath al-Makkah, and Laylat al-Qadr.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Hijri lunar calendar, and during it, the act of fasting is performed.

This month is also distinguished by the fact that the revelation of the Qur'an, the last divine revelation, began during it, and a characteristic of the Islamic tradition of Bosniaks is the recitation of Ramadan mukabalas.

Ramadan is the most important month for Muslims worldwide, including those who have lived in BiH for centuries and preserve the Ramadan tradition.
