First group of pilgrims departs for Hajj from Sarajevo Airport

The first group of 186 pilgrims from BiH for Hajj (to Mecca and Medina) departed by bus yesterday from Zenica, and tonight, pilgrims from the Muftiates of Bihać, Banja Luka, and Sarajevo departed from Sarajevo Airport, writes Patria.

Before their departure, the future pilgrims gathered at the "King Fahd" mosque in Sarajevo, where a joint ikrar prayer was recited, led by the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein ef. Kavazović.

Other pilgrims from BiH will travel to the holy sites on flights on September 21 (two flights), 22 (1 flight), and 23 (2 flights), 2014, writes rijaset.ba.

This year, 1,411 pilgrims are traveling for Hajj from Bosnia and Herzegovina, of whom 1,225 are traveling organized by the Office of the Riyaset for Hajj.
