Bosnians, Herzegovinians, and Swedes "Mahalali" with "Mahaluša"

The biggest Bosnian theatre hit, the cabaret "Ja, mahaluša", which has been watched by over 70,000 visitors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, and abroad, started its first major tour of Sweden in the kingdom's capital, Stockholm, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Organized by the national Swedish theatre Riksteatern and Bosnian associations Neretva and Apo mreža, the first "mahalanje" (a colloquial term for chatting or gossiping, used here in the context of the play's title) scheduled for October 16th at the representative Store theatre in the center of Stockholm, caused enthusiasm in a packed hall.

The fantastic performance of the actors was accompanied by applause, loud laughter, and ovations. Nela Đenisijević and Nenad Tešić, along with the author and producer Indira Kučuk-Sorguč, received a great reception from both Bosnians and Herzegovinians living in the city for many years, as well as a number of Swedes who followed the performance via subtitles.

With thunderous applause and open support, the actors received exceptional praise from the director of Riksteatern for their acting skills, wonderful energy, and enviable interaction with the audience. This is the first of seven performances that the "mahalušes and mahalas" (referring to the characters in the play) will perform in Sweden. The next one is scheduled for October 19th in Gothenburg.
