Mubarek night of Laylat al-Bara' begins with evening prayer tonight

(Patria) - Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, and the world are marking one of the four chosen mubarek nights, Laylat al-Bara', with special programs tonight. Laylat al-Bara' begins with the evening prayer. According to Islamic tradition, the mubarek night of Laylat al-Bara' is considered the night of erasing sins, and believers spend it in intensified worship.

Among Bosnian Muslims, various special programs are traditionally organized for this occasion, which is also expected this year.

"The Administration for Religious Affairs of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina informs believers that according to the Takvim of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community, on Friday, 14 Sha'ban 1440 AH, or April 19, 2019, the mubarek night, Laylat al-Bara', begins with the evening prayer," the Islamic Community announced.

The mubarek night of Laylat al-Bara' is seen as a herald of the upcoming month of fasting, mubarek Ramadan. It is also celebrated as the night when angels begin to write the destiny of humanity and each individual for the coming year, and in the tradition of Bosnian Muslims, it is also known as the night of forgiveness, destiny, and wishes.
