Rusmir Hrvić: We will not allow citizens to be left without basic foodstuffs

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the last month, while the world, neighboring countries, and BiH are fighting the coronavirus pandemic, the production of goods by domestic companies within the AS Group is not stopping. The production facilities of companies Klas, Vispak, Sprind, AC Food, AS Logistics, AS, ZIM, and Solana resemble true beehives where employees work at full capacity, striving to ensure that no citizen of this country feels panic due to the new situation.

Well-known BiH brands such as Zlatna džezva, Tuzlanska so, Klasov Zlatni puder, Master keks, Sprind jufke, Oaza, and Maza are being produced day and night on the production lines, and work in three shifts ensures that everything is on the store shelves before dawn.

“Whether there is a crisis or not, domestic production must not stop due to the obligation we have to all our consumers. AS Group, as the foundation of the BiH economy, is ready for all challenges and emergencies like this coronavirus pandemic. We are always at the forefront of ensuring market supply, and it will remain so in the coming days. All our employees work as one and are all assigned to production facilities or are involved in delivering goods to points of sale. As long as our domestic companies exist, citizens can be sure that we will not allow them to be left without basic foodstuffs,” emphasizes Rusmir Hrvić, President of the Management Board of AS Holding.

Evidence that production has been increased to ensure stable supply is also shown by the data that a total of about 22 million kg of food products from all companies operating within AS Holding have been delivered to customers across BiH in the last three weeks.

These impressive figures sufficiently demonstrate how ready domestic food companies are to be the backbone of society in times when it is most expected of them.
