Russians claim: We destroyed ISIL command center

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage of a new airstrike on ISIL positions in Syria, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Russians claim the footage shows the bombing of the Islamic State's command center and their training camp. The Ministry of Defense also claims that this is footage from the second day of bombing targets, reports Russia Today.

The ministry announced that their Su-24M and Su-25 aircraft carried out eight flights from the Hmeimim base in Latakia on the Mediterranean coast, targeting terrorists. The targets were determined based on intelligence data collected, and among the targets were the Islamic State's command center and a terrorist training camp.

According to the ministry's statement, the attacks on the weapons depot were carried out with "surgical precision," and further explosions resulting from hitting the depot completely destroyed the camp.

They believe that this prevented ISIL from regaining command over the Hama province, which Russian air forces bombed on Wednesday. The ministry released footage of the operation showing a strike carried out by an Su-24M.
