Romania takes over the presidency of the European Union, Zvizdić expects candidate status for BiH

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić congratulated the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Romania Viorica Dăncilă on taking over the presidency of the European Union.

He thanked for the political and technical assistance provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina so far with the aim of accelerating the European path and expressed hope that Romania will keep the Western Balkans on the European agenda during its presidency.

"I congratulate you on taking over the presidency of the European Union. Given our strong commitment to EU integration, as well as the progress we have made, we expect Bosnia and Herzegovina to gain candidate status in the EU during your mandate, which would open new positive prospects for stability, economic development, and the rule of law for my country.

Knowing the continuity of your work, effort, and commitment to regional European integration, I am sure that your presidency will further strengthen the European perspective of the entire Western Balkans, in which you will have our full support," reads the congratulatory message from Chairman Zvizdić.
