Kreka Mines to Purchase Machinery Worth 1.9 Million Marks

Kreka Coal Mines in Tuzla today signed an Agreement for the procurement of three pipe layers, machinery from Russian manufacturer "Promtractor-chetra". The procurement of new mechanization is an investment by JP "Elektroprivreda BiH", and the value of the procurement is 1.9 million KM. The supplier is the company "Lager" from Posušje, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

The agreement was signed in the presence of Nermin Nikšić, Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the FBiH Government, Elvedin Grabovica, General Director of JP EPBiH, and members of the Supervisory Board and management of EPBiH and RU "Kreka", by Enver Omazić, Director of RU "Kreka" and Željko Lovrić, authorized representative of "Lager" Posušje.

Speaking about the new investment by Elektroprivreda BiH, Nermin Nikšić, Prime Minister of the FBiH, stated that Elektroprivreda BiH is fulfilling its obligations to the mines that are members of the Concern, thereby creating the necessary conditions for improving working conditions, increasing production and productivity. Grabovica expressed satisfaction with the signing of this agreement.

- The procurement of new mechanization for RU "Kreka", as well as current procurements for other mines in the Concern, are bringing us closer to the finalization of the recapitalization program, i.e., achieving our goal of realizing planned investments amounting to 204 million KM by the end of this year - said Dr. Grabovica, emphasizing that Elektroprivreda BiH and RU "Kreka" are implementing activities to mitigate the consequences caused by the floods at the "Šikulje" open-pit mine.

- Kreka was urgently granted a loan of 8 million KM and 1.5 million in non-refundable funds for financial consolidation and maintaining the mine's liquidity. We also discussed with the management of the Mine assistance through loan funds from the World Bank and the Development Bank of FBiH. Water from the "Šikulje" open-pit mine should be pumped out by the beginning of September - stated the General Director of Elektroprivreda BiH.

Enver Omazić, Director of RU "Kreka", stated that the mines currently do not have a reliable pipe layer for moving the transport system and that the procurement will enable an increase in capacity and the degree of reliability of the technological process.
