Mines and EPBiH to soon be linked into a unified communication system

Mines operating within the concern of the state-owned company Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine will soon be linked into a unified information and communication system of the concern, which will enable faster and more transparent communication among mine employees, as well as communication within the entire concern, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

JP Elektroprivreda BiH has been working for more than three years on linking the dependent coal mine companies within the EPBiH Concern into a unified information and communication system of the company, which involves the implementation of a series of infrastructure and software projects.

- Linking the mines into a unified information and communication system of the company will enable full transparency of the mines' financial operations, faster and more secure communication among employees both within the mines and with other mines and JP EPBiH as the parent company, better integration of business processes within the mines, as well as with JP EPBiH (business plans, monitoring the degree of plan implementation, unified consolidated reports, optimized maintenance), - confirmed from JP Elektroprivreda BiH for the Patria agency.

- We will also have better efficiency and effectiveness of employee work as well as an improved level of security of information resources and the organization as a whole.

The projects for linking the mines into the optical cable system have been completed in the "Kreka" mine, while in other mines they are in the final phase of implementation. Projects for the implementation of local computer networks have been completed in the mines: "Abid Lolić – Bila", "Gračanica", "Gornji Vakuf – Uskoplje" and "Kreka", while in the remaining four mines the project is in the final phase of implementation.

The arrangement of ICT rooms is in various stages, depending on the mine. For 2014, the design and construction of ICT rooms is planned in the mines "Gračanica", "Gornji Vakuf – Uskoplje", "Abid Lolić – Bila", "Zenica", "Đurđevik" and "Kakanj", while in 2015 the implementation of ICT rooms is planned in RMU "Breza" and RU "Kreka", writes NAP.
