Miners receive support for strike: Give workers their deserved income!

The Management Board and Presidency of the Management Board of the Independent Union of Mine Workers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina analyzed the Decision adopted by the leadership of the Trade Union Organization of Coal Mines "Kreka" in Tuzla. Namely, the Trade Union Board made a decision to go on strike if the personal income for August 2017 is not paid in accordance with the Collective Agreement on the Rights and Obligations of Employers and Workers in the Mining Sector of FBiH by September 25, 2017.

At that time, it was also stated that the production results in Coal Mines "Kreka" in Tuzla in the past eight months of 2017 were at a very enviable level for the circumstances within the Concern of JP "Elektroprivreda BiH" d.d. - Sarajevo. It should be emphasized that in August 2017 alone, a production result was achieved that is greater than what is needed to pay the personal income for all employees in the "Kreka" coal mines, in accordance with the Collective Agreement on the Rights and Obligations of Employers and Workers in the Mining Sector in the Federation of BiH and legal regulations. 

Furthermore, it was stated that the dynamics of the investment phase implementation in the mines of the Concern of JP "Elektroprivreda BiH" d.d. - Sarajevo for the period 2016-2018 in Coal Mines "Kreka" in Tuzla are not at the required level of realization, and this is becoming worrying.

- The Management Board and Presidency of the Management Board of the Independent Union of Mine Workers of FBiH believe that the act sent by the Independent Union of Mine Workers of FBiH, number: 60-05/17 dated May 9, 2017, deserved much more attention from the Government of the Federation of BiH and the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH.

Full support is given to the activities of the Trade Union Board of Coal Mines "Kreka" in Tuzla if their request is not met, because it is unacceptable that workers in this sector demand the payment of personal income, which they have earned with great difficulty, in a similar way every month. Also, it should be emphasized that, in the event of the realization of the mentioned decision of the Trade Union Board of Coal Mines "Kreka" in Tuzla, significant material and other damage will be caused to the "Kreka" Coal Mine.

If a strike is organized in Coal Mines "Kreka" in Tuzla, the leadership of the Independent Union of Mine Workers of the Federation of BiH will propose to the leadership and members of the Trade Union Board in Coal Mines "Kreka" in Tuzla that production not resume until the responsibility of the competent persons for the damage caused to the "Kreka" Coal Mine in Tuzla is determined - the statement reads.
