Divers rescued three people from the flood in Miljevina

Members of the "Wolf" Rescue Service from Foča evacuated three elderly people who remained trapped in their homes in Miljevina after the Bistrica River overflowed its banks. 

According to the head of the service, Nenad Ikonić, rescuers helped residents of the Miljevina settlement move groceries and their belongings during the day, and they also rescued a car.

- We are on standby until further notice. We are available to all flooded areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina; whoever calls us, we will go – Ikonić told us.

Due to the rapid melting of snow from the mountains, as well as intense rain since last night, all water levels are rising, and some rivers have overflowed, and facilities have been flooded due to strong torrents from the hills in some parts of BPK Goražde.
