Deadline in May, RS has not yet submitted answers to EC Questionnaire

The Council of Ministers of BiH took note of the Report of the Directorate for European Integration on undertaken and remaining activities related to the preparation of answers to the European Commission (EC) Questionnaire, which will be submitted to the Presidency of BiH. The Report states that by January 31 last year, the majority of contributions from institutions responsible for answering the European Commission's questionnaire were entered into the information system, with the exception of answers from the Republika Srpska, which were not submitted, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- The Directorate is currently analyzing the quality of the submitted answers and, in consultation with the institutions, is working on improving the quality and harmonizing the submitted contributions - the Directorate's Report states, adding that working groups, after being formed in accordance with the Decision on the Coordination System of European Integration in BiH, will undertake the task of technically finalizing all materials related to the EC Questionnaire.

Civil society organizations submitted 141 answers, and the public offered 395 answers to 35 questions from the EC Questionnaire, which will be translated and, along with the institutions' answers, submitted to the European Commission.

The end of May this year is the final deadline for submitting answers to the European Commission to 3,242 questions from the Questionnaire, which was handed over to Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 9, 2016.
