Goods transported by boat across the Drina: Zvornik resident Risto Milošević indicted for drug smuggling

The prosecutor of the Department III of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an indictment against Risto Milošević, born in 1969 in Zvornik, a citizen of BiH.

 

The accused is charged with, in agreement with persons known to him, for the purpose of smuggling a large quantity of medicines and medical supplies, as well as textile clothing, arriving by vehicle, a tractor with a trailer, to the bank of the Drina River, near the village of Kozluk, where he took over the cargo smuggled across the river, from the territory of Serbia, it was announced from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.

The goods taken over consisted of 20 cardboard boxes with a large quantity of medicines and medical supplies from various manufacturers, as well as more than 40 bags of textile clothing, with a market value of tens of thousands of KM.

The mentioned medicines and medical supplies were smuggled without accompanying documentation and the necessary permits and approvals from the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH, thus posing a danger to the health of BiH citizens.

Members of the BiH Border Police discovered the accused during the commission of the criminal offense.

The accused is charged with transporting goods across the customs line, avoiding customs control measures, for which import a permit from the competent authority is required, and other types of goods of significant value, thereby committing the criminal offense of smuggling under Article 214 of the Criminal Code of BiH. The indictment has been forwarded for confirmation to the Court of BiH, according to the statement of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
