A new wide-face complex worth 19.5 million KM will be put into operation tomorrow in the Kamenica mine of the Brown Coal Mine in Breza, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).
The new mechanized wide-face complex was procured with funds from the state-owned company "Elektroprivreda BiH", and the investment was realized as part of the recapitalization process of the mines within the EPBiH Concern.
The new mechanized wide face and the repaired wide face will be put into operation by Nermin Nikšić, Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Elvedin Grabovica, General Director of JP Elektroprivreda BiH, Suad Ćosić, Director of RMU "Breza", and Piotr Broncel, Member of the Management Board of KOPEX s.a. Poland.
The new wide-face complex with an excavation machine, with a capacity of at least 1,500 tons per day, is made in accordance with the latest technological and technical achievements in mining and is a significant contribution to humanizing work and increasing workplace safety.
The new complex will create preconditions for greater and cheaper coal production from underground exploitation in the next ten years and will enable the achievement of planned coal production, EPBiH announced, reports NAP.
