Resolving Property Relations for the Trebević Cable Car

The Government of Sarajevo Canton at today's session authorized the Cantonal Legal Office to prepare all acts regulating property-legal relations, rights and obligations between Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo and the public utility company „Gras“, in connection with the implementation of the Project "Revitalization of the Trebević Cable Car", reports the Patria news agency, as announced by the Government of Sarajevo Canton.

This project was initiated by the City of Sarajevo, donor funds have been secured, and since in this specific case it concerns property of Sarajevo Canton, the Legal Office has been tasked with drafting a framework agreement to resolve and define property relations and proceed with the implementation of the cable car renovation.

100,000 KM for Preserving Traditional Crafts

The Government accepted the Report on the implementation of the Decree on criteria and procedure for exercising the right to incentive funds for the preservation and development of traditional and old crafts in 2014. In accordance with this Decree, the activities of the Ministry of Economy and the Government of Sarajevo Canton have for years been directed towards providing assistance and stimulating craftsmen to preserve and develop craft activities, especially traditional and old crafts.

Funds for the preservation of traditional and old crafts are planned in the Budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2014 in the amount of 100,000 KM. Following the Public Call for the allocation of incentive funds for the preservation and development of traditional and old crafts in the area of Sarajevo Canton in 2014, funds were allocated in the individual amount of 350 KM for 200 craftsmen. Based on the Public Call for financing/co-financing projects for the preservation and development of old traditional crafts in Sarajevo Canton, financing of programs and projects of four non-profit organizations and associations was carried out in the amount of 30,000 KM.

Resolving Leases in Skenderija

The Government accepted the Information on the implementation of the Protocol on the amicable resolution of mutual relations arising from the process of adaptation, equipping and use of business premises in the Business City of the “Skenderija” Center and further co-financing of part of the lease costs for business premises in the Business City of the “Skenderija” Center.

In accordance with the Protocol on the amicable resolution of mutual relations, Sarajevo Canton did not assume the obligation to compensate funds for the difference in reduced rent on account of funds invested by tenants in the renovation and reconstruction of leased business premises in the “Skenderija” Center, and the Ministry of Economy will, in accordance with possibilities, plan funds in the Budget of Sarajevo Canton in the coming period for co-financing part of the lease costs for business premises in the Business City of the “Skenderija” Center, as announced by the Government of Sarajevo Canton.
