DOUBT RESOLVED: Konaković's NIP Has Its Representative in the BiH Parliament, Is It Zvizdić

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – At today's meeting organized by the President of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić in the Parliament of BiH, where he gathered the presidents of opposition parties represented in the Parliament of BiH, after which they adopted several conclusions regarding the current political situation, support for the High Representative and the OHR, and amendments to the Election Law, Elmedin Konaković, President of the People and Justice party, also participated.

The presidents of eight parties (SDP BiH – Nermin Nikšić, Naša stranka – Edin Forto, NIP – Elmedin Konaković, SBB – Fahrudin Radončić, Nezavisni blok – Senad Šepić, PDA – Mirsad Kukić, SD – Enver Bijedić, NES – Nermin Ogrešević) and seven representatives (5) and delegates (2) signed the agreed conclusions.

Although there was a certain doubt due to Konaković's presence, it turned out that the People and Justice party is indeed a parliamentary party and that, although they did not win any seats in the 2018 General Elections, they now have not only a representative but also a member of the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Denis Zvizdić.

Such information could be heard at today's meeting, which justified Konaković's presence, but there is still no official confirmation that Zvizdić has joined NIP.

Although Zvizdić was mentioned as a candidate for the BiH Presidency, from SDP BiH they clearly stated that he cannot count on the support of that party, and in case the trio (SDP, NS, NIP) cannot agree on a joint, preferably non-party candidate, then SDP will propose its own candidate, which is their duty as the largest multi-ethnic opposition party in BiH.
