Željeznica River: Lifeless body of 62-year-old woman found

In the riverbed of the Željeznica River in the municipality of Ilidža on Monday morning, the lifeless body of R.V., born in 1953 in Foča, residing in East Sarajevo, was found, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The body of the deceased was recovered by a team from the Sarajevo Canton Firefighting Unit. A doctor from the Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Service pronounced the woman dead. 

No signs of violence were observed during the examination of the body. The Prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed of the incident, and an investigation was conducted by police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The body of the deceased was transported by a vehicle of KJKP “Pokop” to the Bare morgue, where an external examination and, if necessary, an autopsy will be performed under the prosecutor's order. Work continues to clarify and document the reported event.
