River Bosna does not threaten flooding, but numerous roads are impassable

In almost all local communities in the Maglaj municipality area, landslides have reappeared and roads are impassable, said Mehmed Mustabašić, Mayor of Maglaj Municipality, for the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- We have engaged all machinery to clear the roads, but we have two places that are damaged, so it is not possible to cross them to the other side. The situation is not good, but it is important that the River Bosna does not threaten flooding. The River Jablanica has overflowed again. However, there are no endangered residents – said Mustabašić.

Rain is still falling in Maglaj, but with reduced intensity.

As announced by BIHMAK, due to a flooded roadway, traffic has been completely suspended on the M-4 main road Tuzla-Doboj (Donja Orahovica) and the R-474 regional road Doboj-Prnjavor via Stanari. 

On the M-17 main road Nemila-Žepče (Ograjina), removal of debris material is underway. Vehicles are being allowed to pass alternately using one lane, with half-hour stoppages. There are long queues of vehicles on both sides, so drivers are advised not to travel in this direction.

Traffic is also suspended on the regional roads  Žepče-Zavidovići (Orahovica) and Doboj-Zavidovići (underpass B.Ploča), while on the regional road Olovo-Zavidovići (Ćunište), passenger vehicles can travel, but freight vehicles and buses cannot.

On numerous regional and local roads, traffic is difficult due to numerous landslides, rockfalls or floods.
