Auditors to enter "KK Bosna": How 25 million marks were spent in 10 years!

The new management of Basketball Club "Bosna" will introduce a comprehensive external audit into the finances of the former European champion for the first time in ten years, bh. news agency Patria (NAP) has learned from reliable sources.

Namely, "KK Bosna" has been on the brink of bankruptcy for months, and as part of the activities to revive this legendary club, the new management has decided to first establish a clean slate and review its multi-year operations.

As we learn, the club's operations over the last 10 years, from 2004 to the present day, will be audited. According to preliminary data, this involves close to 25 million marks that passed through "KK Bosna" during that period, both when the club played in the regional competition and in the domestic league. Officially, the Club only told the Patria agency that the public would be informed in a timely manner about all important steps taken by the Management, but they did not want to reveal any details.

Unofficially, the external audit will most likely be conducted by the reputable auditing firm "Revker" and the well-known court expert Kerima Prašljivić. It is interesting that she conducted an audit and testified at the trial of former leaders of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Munib Ušanović and Miodrag Kureš, who were convicted of financial malversations.

The audit, the Patria agency learns, will be extensive and detailed and should provide an answer as to how KK Bosna, the largest and most successful sports collective in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was brought to its knees, despite large sponsorship agreements. The estimated debt, according to earlier data, has exceeded five million marks, NAP reports.
