Rešidat and Durak: Citizens saw where national parties' politics are leading them through the referendum in RS

The referendum on January 9th, which is being held in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska despite the ban by the Constitutional Court of BiH, has been condemned by all left-oriented parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as political entities acting as independents, writes Patria.

Civic parties warn that the dissolution of the country has occurred because national parties have pursued such policies in previous years, primarily SDA, HDZ BiH, and SNSD.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP BiH) has called on its members and sympathizers living in the Republika Srpska entity of BiH not to participate in the referendum organized by Milorad Dodik and his government.

Samer Rešidat, the Democratic Front's (DF) candidate for mayor of the Sarajevo municipality Centar in the October 2nd elections, told NAP that citizens have become convinced that national parties are leading the country to dissolution, and he hopes they will punish them for it in the upcoming elections.

- With the policies pursued by national parties, all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are endangered, regardless of their national affiliation or where they live in the country. We must stop this – Rešidat said.

Enes Durak, an independent candidate for mayor of the Ilijaš municipality, supported by SDP and DF, told NAP that national parties in the country have only been working for their own interests for years, but this has now jeopardized the existence of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- A pro-Bosnian bloc, a patriotic bloc on all sides, must awaken in the country to ensure peace, stability, and the rule of law – Durak said.
