Republican Senator Close to Trump: Separatists Did Not Fare Well in the 90s, Nor Will They Now

(Patria) - US Senator Chuck Grassley (Republican Party), close to US President Donald Trump, lashed out today at the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, saying he is pursuing a separatist policy that did not end well for separatists in the 90s, nor will it now.

In a post on platform X, Grassley also accused Croatian politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina of simultaneously initiating separatist actions, just like Dodik.

"Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik in Bosnia and Herzegovina supports separatism. Now, separatists – Bosnian Croats – have also entered the fray.

This is a worrying echo of the 90s for many who fled separatist violence after the war and genocide of the 90s.

It did not end well for separatists then, nor will it now," Grassley wrote on platform X.

This post by Grassley comes after a statement by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, also on platform X, who stated that Dodik is a destabilizing factor in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Numerous European leaders have expressed support for BiH institutions in enforcing state laws and addressing violations of the Dayton Peace Agreement carried out by Dodik.
