Representative Union of BHRT Workers to Hold Warning Protest on May 28

(Patria) - The representative union of workers at BHRT, due to the catastrophic financial situation faced by BHRT employees, has announced a warning protest.

The protest will be held on Tuesday, May 28, at the RTV Dom building at 2:00 PM.

The union states that they hope to save the Public RTV service of Bosnia and Herzegovina from closure, given that it is currently in the most difficult situation since its establishment.

"We have had enough, the workers are hungry, cameramen, reporters... many who work in this building and without whom there would be no program of the Public Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina. People cannot live on less than 800 KM per month, and now they are not even receiving that and do not know when they will. Therefore, at the session of the Management Board of the Independent Union of Workers at BHRT, we decided that on Tuesday, May 28, we will launch a warning protest from which we will send a final warning and appeal that something must be resolved. Hungry stomachs have spoken, gentlemen, let it be clear. The state public service is equal to the state. These workers will no longer work hungry," said Merima Kurtović Pašalić, president of the Independent Union of Workers at BHRT.

We remind you that the money collected from the RTV fee in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina remains frozen in the account of "Elektroprivreda BiH", because there is no agreement on the fair distribution of funds between the management of BHRT and Federal Television.
