Armin Škrbo, a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Sarajevo and a candidate for deputy director of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, had his appointment to the rank of full professor annulled, the Bosnian news agency Patria has learned.
Professor Škrbo's appointment to the rank of full professor at this faculty was annulled by the Senate of the University of Sarajevo, i.e., Rector Muharem Avdispahić, because he allegedly did not meet all the necessary requirements.
Kenan Vehabović, the cantonal inspector for higher education, confirmed to the Bosnian news agency Patria that the inspection determined that Professor Škrbo did not meet the requirements for election to full professor.
- The legal obligation of the university rector is to annul the rank and appointment if it is determined that the necessary conditions were not met during the selection of an academic staff member – Vehabović explained to Patria.
