Klas Flour Records Highest Sales in Five Years

Bosnia and Herzegovina's food industry company Klas d.d. Sarajevo has achieved record flour sales in the last five years, reaching a monthly production of 6,000 tons.

A positive trend and successful return to the market, accompanied by increased flour production and sales, was recorded as early as 2014, i.e., the year of Klas's acquisition, when wheat flour sales increased by 90 percent compared to 2013, i.e., before the purchase of Klas by AS GROUP.

The excellent sales of Klas flour, along with the best-selling Zlatni puder, were most contributed to by T-500 flour in 25 kg packaging.

- The record flour sales in the last five years did not surprise us. We redesigned the packaging for T-500 25 kg flour, which is Klas's most important product in this segment, preceded by the production of an excellent commercial with Enis Bešlagić titled "Flour Doctor".

The quality of the flour, milled from specially selected wheat varieties in a mill described as the best in this part of Europe, as well as the strength of the Klas brand, have come to the fore. We have also strengthened our distribution and sales channels, and we can largely thank domestic customers and consumers, whose reactions are very positive, and who, in this way, want to show how much they care about buying quality domestic brands like Klas flour - explains Rusmir Hrvić, director of Klas d.d. Sarajevo.

Klas flour is produced from the best wheat varieties and is specially adapted for developing dough, as well as dishes and pastries from our region, such as pies, flatbreads, and homemade cakes. Wheat processing takes place in the largest and most modern mill in Southeast Europe, with a capacity of 450 tons per day. The entire production process is automated, and at no point is the wheat required for production exposed to risks that could compromise its technological and health quality.

Klas is among the best Bosnian and Herzegovinian brands overall, with a tradition of 113 years of successful business in the food industry, featuring modern technology, a food safety control system, and extensive baking knowledge and product quality, awarded multiple times worldwide.
