Reconstruction of the sidewalk in front of the ceremonial entrance to the BiH Presidency building

Work on the reconstruction of the sidewalk in front of the main, i.e., ceremonial entrance to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina building should begin by the end of this week. The total value of the project to reconstruct this part of Titova Street sidewalk, which covers the area between Musala and Reisa Džemaludina Čauševića streets, is 362,812.65 KM, and it is jointly financed by the Centar Municipality and the Directorate of Roads of the Federation of BiH with equal amounts of funds, it was announced from the Centar Municipality, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The sidewalk reconstruction project was designed by the company 'Es hydrotechich' d.o.o. Sarajevo, in accordance with the expert opinion of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments, which is part of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, as this area is adjacent to the Presidency building, which is a national monument.

The contractor is the construction company 'Sela', and a contract has also been signed with the Centar Municipality.

As planned by the project, the old damaged asphalt will first be removed along the entire section, followed by the regulation of rainwater drainage and the installation of a new base layer on which granite cubes (cobblestones) measuring 10x10 centimeters will be laid. At the end of the works, the fence around the green areas, which will also be landscaped, will be reconstructed.

The supervision is entrusted to the company Coning d.o.o. Sarajevo, and the completion of the works is planned for 45 days.
