Reisul-ulema Kavazović visited by Secretary-General of the Muslim World League

(Patria) - The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League - Rabita, Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, accompanied by a delegation, today visited Reisul-ulema Husein-ef. Kavazović at the Administrative Building of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Reisul-ulema welcomed the guests and expressed satisfaction with this visit. He informed the Secretary-General about the history and organization of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, its work and activities.

He highlighted the importance of interreligious dialogue and the commitment of the Islamic Community to preserving the multi-confessional character and interreligious spirit in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Furthermore, the Reisul-ulema presented the Muslim-Jewish Peace Initiative, emphasizing that it is a document that will serve as a guide, a promise, and a testament to the strength of cooperation and mutual respect in building a world of lasting peace and harmony.

The Secretary-General of Rabita, Al-Issa, stressed that the Islamic Community holds great significance, not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also in the hearts of many other Muslims, and that it is a source of pride for all Muslims.

„We are happy to have visited the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as its representative headquarters. Sarajevo is recognizable for being a meeting point of East and West.

The Islamic Community represents one of the symbols of the Islamic world; it promotes Islam in its moderate form. It bases its work on the fundamental sources of Islam - the Qur'an and Sunnah, and throughout history, it has justified its existence and made a great contribution to the development of Bosnian society, as well as to its moderation and tolerance.

We in Rabita support the work of the Islamic Community and its leadership headed by Reisul-ulema Kavazović, whom I personally know as a great scholar and intellectual who successfully leads the Community. The Islamic Community contributes to the development of the Islamic Ummah, and we are proud to have good cooperation; we appreciate the effort, hard work, and congratulate the leadership," he stated.

At the end of the meeting, Reisul-ulema Kavazović presented the Secretary-General with appropriate gifts.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Assembly of the Islamic Community, Edhem Bičakčić, the Deputy Reisul-ulema, Dr. Enes-ef. Ljevaković, the Director of the Directorate for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Muhamed Jusić, the Head of the Office of the Reisul-ulema, Rifat Fetić, and the Fetva-emin, Ahmed Purdić.
