Reisul-ulema Kavazović participates in Doha Forum, meets with Qatari Minister of Education

(Patria) - Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović is participating in the Doha Forum.

Accompanied by Reisul-ulema Kavazović, the Director of the Directorate for External Affairs and Diaspora of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Muhamed Jusić is also participating in the conference.

During the day, Reisul-ulema met with the Minister of Education of the State of Qatar, Lolwah R M Al-Khater, whom he thanked for last year's participation in the commemoration and funeral of the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica.

The meeting also discussed the implementation of the provisions of the UN General Assembly resolution in the world, especially in educational systems.

The continuation of cooperation between the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and related institutions in Qatar was also discussed, particularly in the field of education and student exchange.

In addition to Director Jusić, Vahid Suljić from the Qatar Foundation, which, among other things, works on promoting international cooperation of higher education institutions and alumni of Qatari universities, also attended the meeting between Reisul-ulema and the minister.

It is foreseen that during today and tomorrow, Reisul-ulema will meet with a number of state officials of the State of Qatar, as well as international actors from the sphere of religious, media, and humanitarian work.

The Doha Forum will gather world leaders, policymakers, and thinkers today and tomorrow to discuss innovative solutions to the world's greatest challenges, from global security and conflict resolution to economic development and technological progress, it was announced on the forum's website.

In a statement to the media before the start of the conference, Reisul-ulema Kavazović emphasized the importance of such forums where the most responsible leaders in the world meet, not only from the world of politics, to seek solutions to numerous accumulated problems of the present.

"The situation in the world, from Gaza to Ukraine, requires all responsible people in the world to urgently turn to dialogue and resolving open issues through talks and respecting every human life as equally valuable. The argument of force and domination will not bring peace to the world," emphasized Reisul-ulema.
