(Patria) - Bosniaks will not give up, they will fight and win what belongs to them, which is every inch of this land, freedom and dignity, said today the reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community (IC) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef.
Kavazović.
Reisul-ulema Kavazović attended the ceremonial opening of the newly built mosque in Sapna, where he addressed thousands of gathered worshippers.
“This mosque we are witnessing will be, like all our mosques, another pearl in the string of mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am proud of our Muslim men and women who, through their work and effort, selflessly contribute both to the unity of the Islamic Community and to the strength and resilience of our homeland,” said the reisul-ulema.
Reminding that at the opening of the Tucaković mosque in Rabrani he said that “it is not about square meters, but about the principles of defending freedom,” the reisul-ulema told the congregation of Sapna that they should be aware of the freedom they enjoy, to build the mosque and express gratitude to God in it.
“I want to draw a parallel between the freedom you have and the lack of freedom we have in another part of the homeland. I want to say, Bosniaks, come to your senses. Come to your senses. What we have, the freedom in these areas, did not come by itself; we watered it with blood to become a people and defend freedom, to preserve Bosnia and to have our own flag that we will raise high, to be what we are on our own land,” emphasized the reisul-ulema.
He also called on those gathered to be aware of the symbolism of the green flag. “We know it as the flag of the Islamic Community, but I want to say that this is the flag of Husein kapetan Gradaščević. Whenever I see it, I am reminded of what is more important than my perception. Under this flag, Husein kapetan had to go into exile. Why? Because some Bosniaks betrayed. This flag is a warning to all of us. Whenever you see it, remember that there was betrayal in our people, and while others then created their states around us, we became their servants and had to serve them until Allah sent one among us, the late Alija Izetbegović,
who gathered us and under the lily flag we won our freedom and our name,” said reisul-ulema Kavazović.
The reisul-ulema warned that these days we are witnessing those who want to create confusion among our people.
“These days, among our Bosniaks, there are those who confuse us again, who think that we are not a people that has carried all this on its shoulders, and who think that if they put doctor or academician before their name, they know something about our people. They know nothing. We are Bosniaks, not any Bosnians. Our people are called Bosniaks. As reisul-ulema, I place my hope in our people, and in our grandmothers and grandfathers, that they know who we are, what we are, how we will proceed, and with whom,” emphasized the reisul-ulema.
The reisul-ulema also said that the mosque in Sapna could not have come into being by itself, just as Bosnia could not have been preserved without gazis and martyrs.
“A crisis comes among the people, material, spiritual, political. We are currently living through a political crisis. Unfortunately, our leaders do not communicate with each other. Either we will correct them and put them on the right path, or there will be nothing. The dowry cannot be sold just like that. They received this as a dowry from the martyrs, gazis and the late Alija Izetbegović. We will not allow them to
sell it to enemies. They will have to come to their senses and answer to this people,” emphasized the reisul-ulema.
On this occasion, the reisul-ulema said that if we build the country honestly, bravely and proudly, as the mosque in Sapna was built, no one will be able to harm Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I was with the fighters here in the trenches, we fought valiantly. This people will not listen to just anyone, no world-class thugs who come to this country, let them know this people has been through a lot, it will get through this too. There is only one path ahead of us, and that is the fight for dignity and mutual harmony and unity. I want to call on young people, Bosniaks, to stand firmly on this land with both feet and grapple with the problems of this country. Do not give up. This is your land, fight for it. Give to it as much as the martyrs and gazis gave, and you will see that this land will flourish,” said reisul-ulema Husein-ef. Kavazović.
