Reisul-ulema Kavazović in Frankfurt: Strong support for institutional strengthening of the Community

(Patria) - Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović visited the new administrative headquarters of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Germany (IZBNJ) in Frankfurt today.

In a brief conversation with the leadership of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Germany during this visit, the Reisul-ulema gave strong support to institutionalization, and having its own address and headquarters is an important step in strengthening the Islamic Community as a significant institution for our people in Germany.

This was followed by a meeting with members of the Executive Board (IO) of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Germany.

The President of the Community, Zenahir Mraković, and the Chief Imam, Aldin-ef. Kusur, briefly presented the current situation and processes within IZBNJ, after which the members of the Executive Board provided specific information by the departments they are responsible for.

The Reisul-ulema expressed satisfaction with the work of the Executive Board and reminded of the great responsibility of the leadership of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Germany for all its members.

"Our primary task is to be of service and help to all our Muslims so that, in the conditions in which they live here, they have the opportunity to fulfill their religious needs. Our Community is a community of continuity and connection through history, which as such institutionally dates back to the Prophet himself, peace be upon him. In practice, this means the transmission of religious knowledge from generation to generation, as well as preserving authenticity and continuity. Therefore, the institutional strengthening of the Community, which will preserve all the values that adorn us through time and space, is important," said the Reisul-ulema.

The discussion continued about current projects, during which the Reisul-ulema congratulated and particularly emphasized the importance of purchasing the administrative headquarters in Frankfurt.

"It is of great importance that we have a permanent address where we will develop our capacities in a better and more productive way," the Reisul-ulema stated.

Furthermore, the Reisul-ulema called on all representatives of the Community to show responsibility in representing Islam and its values in German society and to be constructive members of the society in which they live.

After the meeting, a formal dinner was held with the chief imams, presidents of the local councils (medžlis), and the leadership of the Assembly, where representatives of IZBNJ presented the Reisul-ulema with a special letter of thanks for his contribution to the purchase of the IZBNJ administrative headquarters.

The Reisul-ulema will continue his multi-day visit to the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Germany tomorrow in the area of the Medžlis Bayern."
