Reisul-ulema Kavazović recommended reciting the prayer for rain

(Patria) - The Directorate for Religious Affairs of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that, based on the instruction of Reisul-ulema Husein-ef. Kavazović, all khateebs in our country were recommended to recite the Prayer for Rain with the congregation today, Friday, August 16.

“The drought and heat in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region have brought numerous difficulties to agriculture, springs, streams, and rivers, which, among other things, have resulted in numerous fires in our homeland.

Our refuge is Allah, the Lord of the worlds. It is within His power to give, send down, and withhold rain. It is up to us to repent to Him and to direct our prayers to Him, the Most Merciful. Following the Sunnah – the practice and example of Muhammad, peace be upon him, and based on the instruction of the Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef. Kavazović, it is recommended that khateebs, on Friday, August 16, 2024, or Safar 12, 1446 AH, recite the Prayer for Rain with the congregation, directing their prayers to Allah, the Almighty, to forgive our sins, to have mercy on His servants and other creatures, and to send down rain on the parched Bosnian and Herzegovinian land,” the statement reads.
