(Patria) - Reisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein ef. Kavazović today sent a Ramadan message to Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, their homelands, and the diaspora.
"Dear brothers and dear sisters!
Tonight, with the evening prayer (akšam-namaz), we enter the magnificent Ramadan, the month of fasting and piety; the month of devotion and purity. The time of this month is the best time of the year and the most fruitful: in it are the best days and the best nights, in it is Laylat al-Qadr. Therefore, let us take advantage of the blessed month of Ramadan and strive to cleanse ourselves of sins and draw closer to God's mercy.
Let us open our hearts to Ramadan's mercy, fill them with love for others, especially for our neighbors. Let our fasting, recitation of the Quran, tarawih prayers, mukabales, and other acts of worship be adorned with the ornaments of quiet and sincere devotion.
In your prayers, remember the suffering of innocent people in the world, especially in Palestine, who are exposed to unprecedented suffering. Let us ask Allah to remove evil from them, to protect them with His protection, and to bring them peace.
I wish Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, their homelands, and around the world to spend Ramadan in peace, devotion, with their loved ones and neighbors, dedicated to the values of their exalted faith.
May Allah graciously lead us into the month of His mercy, open our paths to His blessings, and accept from us all the good we do in it. I wish all Muslim men and women: Ramadan šerif mubarek olsun!".
