Reis Kavazović visits Germany

(Patria) - The Rais al-ulama of the Islamic Community (IZ) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, will be on a three-day visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, during which the Murasela will be awarded to the Mufti for Western Europe Osman ef. Kozlić and the Islamic Center in Mainz will be opened.

The Rais al-ulama will hold meetings with representatives of German local and provincial authorities and the Catholic Church today, and will deliver a khutbah and lead the Friday prayer at the mosque in Mainz, MINA reports.

On Saturday, September 14, the Rais al-ulama is scheduled to discuss the construction and official opening of the Islamic Center with representatives of the Mainz community, as well as the project for the construction of the administrative building of the Mufti's office for Europe on the community's land. On the same day, the Murasela will be presented to the Mufti for Western Europe Osman ef. Kozlić, and an evening of the Quran will be held at the Mainz mosque.

Kavazović will hold a meeting with imams and community presidents in Europe, and after the evening prayer at the Wiesbaden community, he will address the attendees.

On Sunday, September 15, the Rais al-ulama will open and declare the Mainz Islamic Center a waqf of the Islamic Community and present the community waqfnamah. The official opening program is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.

Within the program, in addition to the Rais al-ulama, speeches are planned by the newly appointed Mufti for Western Europe Osman ef. Kozlić, the president of the Mainz community Rifat Halilović as the host, then the president of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Germany Paša ef. Fetić, the imam of the Mainz community Halil ef. Makić, and the president of the Construction Committee Nusret Faković.

Speeches are also expected from the Mayor of Mainz Michael Ebling, and the Minister in the government of the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate Konrad Wolf.
