(Patria) - Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović met today in his office with Archbishop of Sarajevo and Metropolitan of Dabar-Bosnia Hrizostom.
The meeting discussed the importance of interreligious dialogue in Bosnian society.
On this occasion, the Metropolitan informed the Reisul-ulema that, after consultations with the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church Porfirije and the bishops, he has decided that the SPC will return to the work of the Interreligious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina from June 1st.
The Reisul-ulema welcomed this decision, emphasizing the need to strengthen interreligious dialogue at all levels and in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially at the local level.
The meeting also discussed the launch of concrete initiatives for interreligious tolerance and mutual respect among people of different ethnic and religious affiliations in our country.
