Reis Kavazović invites Ambassador Nelson to the opening of Aladža Mosque in Foča

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, received in an inaugural visit the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Eric Nelson. The Grand Mufti welcomed Ambassador Nelson and wished him success in his work, emphasizing that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Islamic Community, appreciate everything the United States of America has done and continues to do for peace and stability in BiH.

Ambassador Nelson showed interest in the process of interreligious dialogue, noting that America and Bosnia are similar in their efforts to preserve diversity as their greatest wealth.

At the end of the meeting, during which several current topics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region were discussed, the Grand Mufti once again invited H.E. Ambassador Nelson to attend the ceremonial opening of the Aladža Mosque in Foča on Saturday, May 4, expressing gratitude that the first funds for its reconstruction were allocated from the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation.
