Reis Kavazović: Those who reconcile with evil are evil themselves

Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein ef. Kavazović, before the funeral for those killed in the genocide in Prijedor, emphasized that we seek peace for our homeland and our martyrs in prayers, at yet another chosen Bosnian place, reports the Patria News Agency.

- Today we are in another valley of martyrs, in a place where silence speaks more than speeches and wise words. Today in Prijedor, before that in Srebrenica, then Vlasenica, we witness the deep abyss in which evil was born. Those who reconcile with evil or justify it are evil themselves – says Kavazović.

He noted that hatred and evil are nothingness, an abyss that cannot be bridged without God's help and sincere repentance.

- Man has the strength to overcome evil, through faith, good deeds, repentance, piety... genocide was committed here, a crime we could not believe. Here in Prijedor, humanity was betrayed, and that betrayal continues in The Hague and New York – said Reis Kavazović.
