Reis Kavazović at the meeting of muftis from the Balkans

The head of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, accompanied by the head of the Office for the Bosniak Diaspora of the Riyaset Directorate for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mirsad ef. Kalajdžić, is participating in a three-day meeting of muftis from the Balkans, organized by the Turkish Diyanet, held in Edirne, reports the Patria News Agency. 

In addition to muftis from the Balkans, all 80 regional muftis of Turkey are also attending the meeting.

At the opening of the meeting on January 13, 2015, the President of the Turkish Republic's Diyanet, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gormez, gave the introductory address. After that, muftis from the Balkans addressed the attendees. The head of the Islamic Community, Husein ef. Kavazović, gave a notable address.

After a brief historical overview of the work of the Islamic Community in BiH, he spoke most openly about the current problems faced by all Muslims. He also presented certain proposals, seeking the support of the Turkish Diyanet, it was announced from the Riyaset.
