Referendum: Associations of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and Mothers of Srebrenica Demand Investigation Against Those Responsible

The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and the Movement of Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa demand that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina urgently launch an investigation against responsible persons who are violating the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of conducting a referendum in the smaller entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to a statement signed by Murat Tahirović and Munira Subašić, presidents of these two associations, reports the Patria News Agency.  

- We call on the BiH Prosecutor's Office to initiate proceedings in accordance with the law of Bosnia and Herzegovina based on publicly available information. Namely, we believe that the BiH Prosecutor's Office, based on information from citizens and the media about a possible committed offense, has the authority ex officio to form a case and request that the allegations be investigated.

We hope that the BiH Prosecutor's Office will initiate investigation proceedings in accordance with its authority and contribute to the preservation of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the statement reads.
