(Patria) - At an extraordinary session of the Centar Municipality, a new date for the referendum on the recall of Mayor Srđan Mandić was set.
Instead of September 17, the referendum on the recall of the mayor is scheduled for October 22, from 7 AM to 7 PM. The decision was voted on with 18 councilor votes.
Also, in order to expedite the procurement procedure for ballot papers, they will be black and white, without the municipal coat of arms in gold print.
Mayor Srđan Mandić addressed the councilors, explaining everything that had happened since the initial decision on recall until today and why the referendum date had to be postponed. After his address, Mandić left the Municipal Council hall.
Councilor Velija Katica reacted strongly to Mandić's behavior, stating that next time the councilors will leave the hall when Mandić addresses them.
The Chairperson of the Municipal Council, Sejad Đozo, also reacted, saying that Mandić is humiliating them with such behavior.
The Commission for the implementation of the recall procedure of the Mayor of Centar Municipality was also supplemented, with one member proposed by the SDA.
